    1620a accoustic feedback destroyer

    does anyone have any expeience with these? i picked a couple up and from a quick test, im not having any luck with them. im using eq's now to cut feedback frequencies. they have a fast/slow switch but still not working

    Looks like it just turns the volume down a tad if it senses feedback, probably intended for voice only. Doesn't sound useful for Hi-Fi or Pro use. There are a number of units that EQ out feedback, but most making the mistake of not "ringing out" the system and locking them down.

    thanks old guy... yeah thats how we do it, totally max out the feedback and get rid of it with the eq. these altec units look like they are trying to work, just not enough.
